Samburu kids who attend the local English missionary school. The previous year, termites ate all their books. We brought them new books, and *metal* bookshelves. They sang songs for us.
One of the kids noticed that i had something shiny and silver in my mouth. He stuck his tongue out and pointed to my mouth, and so i showed him that i have my tongue pierced. He got very excited and called his friends over, and shortly i was surrounded by small Samburu children all spellbound by *my* humble piercing. Of course, all these children's mothers and fathers have their earlobes stretched into loops. ;)
