a drum that i bought from a Kikuyu warrior after they gave a drum and dance performance for us. if you look closely, you'll notice that the skin has been stretched over a Shell oil barrel to fashion the drum. just shows how badly Western culture has been inserted into even tribal Africa.
a pair of ear plugs that i got from a Samburu warrior. he just took them right out of his ears and handed them to me. they are made of wood from an Acacia tree. i don't think i'll ever have the guts to stretch my ears big enough to actually wear them, but just holding them is good too.
me and a Samburu warrior. they were very kind people. i didn't want to leave.
